  • John Hinchliffe:

Sea shanties and historic renactments from 10am, so get there early!

  • Russ Wilson:

My father came to Liverpool as an orphan in 1939 from Shropshire at the age of 13 and joined the merchant navy as a galley boy. He stayed at the home many times, so these gates mean a lot to me and my sister knowing our dad walked through them many times. Well done they’re back home.

      hi Russ

I got involved in this campaign by chance, but as an affiliated scouser, on the Wirral side, and a nearly seaman, I’ve been on the Ferry 100 or so times, this journey made me utter many sentences involving the words head and brick wall.
To see these Gates back in Liverpool is a dream come true.

      Many thanks for your comment

      Kindest Regards
